Styleboost, May 1st Reboot?

Norwegian links page, Styleboost, is now under construction. The top page says that the site is going to be "the Web 2.0 generation" and we can expect something very different from what the site used to be.
The site has been closed for more than a month (as far as I know). It's high time to launch a new version. And the 1st of May is just around the corner. The site may open on that day.

seven salotti

A website for Italian sofa brand, seven salotti, has been launched.
The website starts with four thumbnails, which emerge on a jet-black marble floor in darkness. Once users click on one of the thumbnails, the website brings them to the world of seven salotti.
The top page focuses on making a strong initial impression at users so that they have an interest in the brand and the site. By adding the unique movement to the thumbnails, it also helps to raise users' expectaion. In contrast to the top page, the content pages display product images in full-screen.
The website is designed with red, brand colour, and jet-black tiles in order to express the brand identity. It also focues on achieving a simple and intuitive navigation and the BGM helps to convey the atmosphere.
I has been an art director on this project, but the website cannot have been complete without everyone's help. Especially, many thanks goes to Akira, who has done a Flash coding and got my idea into shape in such a short time. I guess I was being a hard-core detail stickler for him. Forgive me. But that's me.

Computerlove Returned

It's been long, maybe almost two years, since computerlove.net was closed. But ComputerLove came back to us with a different URL - cpluv.com. I've made my account. But the server is too slow.

auspicious 4 Relaunched

My portfolio site, auspicious, has been finally relaunched. I have been thinking about a new design for the new site and turned down many designs in the last three months. However, it took just only a few days to come up with the design I adopted.
I'm glad to be able to deliver the new site to you before Christmas. I hope you'll like it. And my office FICC's new site is also scheduled to open soon.

Relaunched CSS masterpiece
The famous CSS site, ShaunInman.com, has been renewed. A Boston-born web designer/developer, Shaun Inman, presents sophisticated CSS design in his site. Beautiful and groundbreaking. I can't possibly know how each function works. Complicated, but it's not based on Flash. Each part of the site is made by CSS (plus JavaScript). This is worthy to be a excellent model of CSS-designed sites. If you're interested in CSS, you must visit. I haven't looked at the entire site yet, but will take a close look later. So many to be learned.

Stinkogame

Homestarrunner has done a great job again. They've released a new game, called "Stinkogame 20X6", featuring Stinkoman who is one of the characters in Homestarrunner and originates in Japaese video games. This game is apparently inspired by Capcom's masterpiece, Rockman (aka Megaman. I've never heard of it. But do Amrican people call this Megaman?). So coooooooool.

Computerlove back!!!

It's been long since Computerlove.net disappeared from cyberspace. I've been wondering where it's gone. But Computerlove.net has been finally back to us after overcoming problems with its previous server and a large scale hack. The satff of Computerlove.net are currently working on a new website and hoping it will re-open in the next weeks.
Computerlove also announced "Poster Design Contest 2005". To my surprise, the first prize is Mediatemple (mt) Hosting FOR LIFE! Wow! But the second prize is a Nintendo DS. What is this difference? Anyway.

MSN Search

Microsoft has entered the search engine battle. Is it going to be Google's rival? auspicious supports MSN Search, rather than Google, because MSN Search can list my website up if you type "ausp" and "shota", while Google doesn't show anything.

A new place for innervision
Happy New Year!!
Oh, I started another thing, which is Blogger. I knew about it. I heard of it. I saw it often, in fact. But, I didn't try to start this Blogger, because I had so many things to be done and also wanted to create this kind of proper blog system by myself for my website. But I was busy, anyway.
Then, I kept writing something in English for my website and kept writing something in Japanese for Hatena, Japanese weblog community, for a while. But, the weblog for my site was getting mixed up with private stories and the site's announcements. That was I didn't like. In fact, my site, auspicious, started as an online gallery of my portfolio and photographs, along with the weblog. But no wonder, the weblog, which was thought to be a supporting role (at first in my mind), was the most regurally updated section and it was pretty personal. I wanted to separate it from other main sections such as my portfolio and photographs. Also, since I lost internet connection, the site including the weblog have been less often updated. Then, the weblog became a notice board for update information. Yes, that's good. It should be like that.
So, now I've got internet connection back. Where can I write something personal, private and irrelevant to my portfolio or web design? I think, the answer is Blogger, yes here. I don't want to write personal matters back in my website any longer. And it's the beggining of the year. Good time to begin something new.

This blog is brought to you by web-designer Shota. Talks about journalism, music, web design and my daily life. I keep scrabbling to satisfy myself.
